혹시 《오투잼》 이나 《DJ MAX》 같은 리듬게임을 플레이한 적이 있는가? 음악에 따라 다른 장·단조의 노트가 우수수 떨어지면 유저들이 해당 구간에 맞는 건반을 눌러 그 노트를 활성화시켜야 하는 게임이다. 나는 이 《파형(波形)》이라는 게임 스타일 역시 그것과 다르지 않다고 생각한다. 다만, 여기서는 노트에 맞는 건반을 두드리는 것이 아니라, 건반 그 자체를 떼어내어 노트에 갖다 대는 느낌이지만. + 아이디어 자체는 다른 사람의 말 대로 참신하다고 할 수 있다(파동의 길이와 높이를 조절하여 에너지를 획득하면 됨) + 스테이지가 넘어갈수록 새롭게 등장하는 여러…

처음엔 즐거운 BGM과 함께 가볍게 구슬이나 먹는 게임인줄 알았건만 막상 해보니 그게 아니다. 어렵다. 아니 스테이지 클리어자체는 쉽다. 다만 뒤로 흘러가버리는 수많은 구슬들을 보게 될뿐. 나에게도 구슬이 2개나 있겄만 나의 머리는 저 아름다운 파동을 따라 쉴새없이 움직이며 구슬들을 탐하라 말한다. 긴 포물선을 따라 연달아 구슬을 획득할때의 포포포퐁 소리는 너무나 황홀할정도. 게다가 행성간의 스테이지 구성에 다양함과 참신함이 엿보여 나도 모르게 놀고 있는 한쪽 손으로 내 구슬을 탁하고 치고 말았다. 진행도에 따라 탄막슈팅마냥 수많은 장애물을 요리조리 회피하며 그안에…

웨이브를 조절하는 게임입니다. 웨이브 폭과 간격을 조절할 수 있으며, 이를 잘 조절하여 맵에 등장하는 점수 오브젝트를 수집하죠. 참고로, 방해물이 등장하는 것은 당연한 것!! 이를 잘 피하면서 점수를 얻어서 끝까지 가면 클리어입니다. 조절하는게 생각보다 어렵죠.

몇백원으로 사기에는 아까울 정도로 가성비가 좋은 게임입니다. 세일하길래 샀는데 놀랄 정도로 재미있게 즐겼네요. + 심플하고 직관적이지만 참신한 메커니즘 + 클리어는 어렵지 않지만 마스터는 쉽지 않은, 적절한 레벨 디자인 + 중독적인 사운드트랙은 덤 + 이과생이라면 파동의 아름다움을 만끽할 수 있음(?!)
