복고풍으로 회귀한 고난도 게임이다. 실행하는 순간 CRT 모니터를 구현해낸 제작자의 센스에 감탄을 하게 된다. 색상이며 여러가지 보면 모두 어렸을 때 DOS에서 느꼈든 그 느낌 그대로! 난이도는 그냥 하면 없어보이는데 하다보면 꽤 있는 편이다. 슈퍼 미트 보이나 이외 다른 고통 주는 게임보다야 덜 하겠지만, 그래도 요즘 나오는 게임치고는 많이 어려운 편이 속한다. 무료임에도 불구하고 이런 저런 구성이 알차기도 하며, 몇가지 모드가 더 있어서 꽤나 할 만하다. 가격도 무료이면서 이정도로 잘 빼낸 작품이니 점수는 후하게 줄 수 있다.

제목과 맵의 난해함을 보고 뭔가 색다른 결말을 기대했는데, 그딴 거 없더라 적절한 복고풍 비주얼과 레벨 디자인으로 플레이하는 극도로 추상화된 매트로배니아

Finally enjoyable package(?) game to me, a long----time later since 2016. Zelda-like or NES-like 8 bit game, with many fun contents(Mostly, FINDAWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY). I beat the game once with 100% process, but still have achievements to unlock. I'm gonna try these, too. Hope AVGN reviews this game.

분량이 짧다고 해도 무료고, 시간 때우기라기엔 꽤 오래 걸리는, 그런 느낌의 단순하면서도 오묘한 게임.
